What about when they do the opposite and lock their back legs up and refuse to walk?
My dog can NOT seem to get this she just keeps pulling me 😭 she’s a nightmare to walk and I know I need to walk her more and keep trying but it’s so exhausting and miserable.
Is the dog wearing a martingale? Would you recommend this type of collar?

Pet sitting for landlord. They think I am going to fix the dog's bad habits while I pet sit her. They've got no idea how unrelaxing it is to take their dog for a walk. Dogs are a real waste of time it is an INVESTMENT of time for people who want to have a pet as a HOBBY.

What if you’ve already been doing this for a year and a half but he still pulls? I’ve been to trainers too to see if they can help me but they recommend the same things 🤷🏻♀️ at a loss here

I've been doing these exact things with my dog for well over a year now, and he just doesn't care to get it. He just wants to do what he wants to do. It's doesn't matter how much i try to be in charge and take lead he just always wants to be out front. I literally do everything he said to a T day in and day out

This is how I trained our first large family dog when I was 12. Once your dog gets this part down, it's good to add in distractions to teach your dog to keep its attention on you. Once this is achieved, you can work on no leash training (obviously always walk your dog on a leash in public)
This would have never worked with my dog. Corrective u turns are the way to stop leash pulling in less than 5 mins
You must talk to the dog as well.They're not telepathic
