Often behind a Walmart or Target they have a long grass area with a tall wall which makes a perfect dog walk. I wish someone would invent hinges for the dog fence so two could be connected at a time and set up would be twice as fast.
OMG thank you for that info about the waggle pet monitor! We just purchased an RV and have a cat, bird and 2 small dogs and that was my biggest concern if we wanted to leave them in the RV with the power on. What a relief there is something out there to put me at ease!
Im gonna be stuck living in a RV sooner or later full time. Not by choice really. I got two furballs (kitties) and I constantly worry how im going to take them with me and how im going to make it habitable while at work or school.
We have a Great Pyrenees as well and we just adore her. We knew going in that they were barking dogs and that doesn't bother us at home, but when we're camping we can't leave her alone for two minutes without her barking her head off. How do you deal with the barking from your white fluff ball? Thanks for the video, btw.
OMG your pyrenees is so adorable. Mine passed (2nd one at that). I have 3 dachshunds, I am watching closely. I got the portable fence I got the 2 foot as I only have small doggies now. Fits to the RV well. Like 60' of fencing. Much better for that… other things I am learning from you…. 😉
Great video (and I'm a specialist in this area!!). We live on the road with our (now down to) three dogs. We take them everywhere we go (never leave them alone in RV) so we don't use a monitor, yet. Your video & description are VERY thorough!!! I do prefer rest stops too. They always have at least a dirt area off to the side. We don't go to campgrounds either – boondocking is our thing. We have that very same water bowl and it's truly great quality!!! Never spills!!! I have to say that pet fence looks interesting. We always research the vets in the area! Definitely a requirement!! We've had a few emergencies… and losses. I just love Alaska's signs!! Cute idea!!! I was an RVT (Registered Veterinary Technician) in my past life and I'm sorry but I just don't believe in flea collars – we use the oral treatments. Fleas are constantly upping their game and learning to beat the remedial treatments. Collars work… just right around the collar but that's about it. So oral treatments, bathing, constant grooming, treating the grass/environment, and vacuuming are the best solutions you can do to beat fleas n ticks. Some states don't even have fleas 🤷♀️ but they have humidity!!
Loved the video!! Gotta check out that leash!!! Thank you very much!!
I don't knmow that you'll read/reply but if you happen to see this, I have little shih tzus and was looking at a pet fense but my husband and I have physical issues so driving steaks into the ground is an issue. I saw this fense has little steaks. Are they pretty easy to push (or tap in with a hammer)?
Sounds like all these problems are moot as long as your pet is properly trained. It's strange that it's never mentioned. Probably because everything in this video was just a sponsorship deal.
Every park we saw from oregon, California, Arizona, new Mexico, Nevada and now Texas hasn't been an issue for my heeler pit mix. Now that we are full time in Texas, I keep track of temp of trailer and have emergency contacts for my dog. I also put a large stickrr on front door stating to remove my dog in case of emergency.
I really appreciate this video and so many others. I was ready to rehome my dog because she goes to the bathroom inside prefers to be outside more than inside. Alaska’s shame signs make me realize that maybe my dog is just normal. 😂
How do you get heartworm medication for Alaska? Since you cannot buy them without a vet prescription, do you simply just take him to a vet in whatever location you are in every year?
Just found this video. The advice you give is great! However, you don't mention anything on how to stop a barking dog. RV parks have become overpriced dog parks with dogs barking relentlessly everywhere. Not every dog owner cleans up after their dog. A word of advice, train, socialize your dogs so other rvrs don't have to suffer from your pet causing a nuisance. People who rv spend thousands for a relaxing time. This relaxing time is taken away by annoying dogs barking out of control and dog owners who think they have a right to disrupt others with noisy dogs barking.

Do you own the Campendium channel too? They have a video that has the same intro verbatim.

How do you keep the dogs safe in the RV while driving? Are there seatbelts?

Such a great video for RV newbies as we really want our furry friends to go. THANKS…
You didn't travel for 4 years
do your cats roam outside the camper? do they go out on a leash? are they only in the rv 100%?
Got a kick out of the signs 🙂
