Yea those flexi leashes aint worthy first time i tried using one to walk my bull dog who was young at the time he ran out the door i tried to lock it and he ripped it right out good thing he has a good recall lol

Okay, those leads are shit. A family friend of mine got her leg cut because of one of those. But, with a harness (certain ones, anyway), there is a place to clip the lead about the dog's middle back, so it doesn't pull on their neck

Yes. Does it prevent slipping in slender dogs? Yes. Does it offer quick control in an emergency situation? Yes. There are so many ways that harnesses are helpful, practical tools for well-trained dogs. The problem is not the tool, it is always the way it is used or misused.

A harness is sometimes better than a collar. My friend got a puppy that had absolutely no self preservation instinct and would choke himself, to death if given the chance, while pulling on the leash. They got him a harness so that they could actually hold him back.
