*rather than cutting the handle off the leash to create a House Line. Maybe create/sell an adaptive line that works both ways? Create a House Line with “removable” handle 💡 this way you can remove the handle while indoors but still connect a handle for walks.

I don't have good luck immobilizing my puppy using putting my hand in his collar. She will lay down on her back and I try to get her to stand up and then hold her close to me till she relaxes. So far no success!. I have recently adopted the house leash method that you utilize and that I find helpful, so I will continue to try to do that
My 12-week old puppy never stops biting the line. Got her 2 weeks ago from a shelter. She throws tantrums, grabs the line and runs away so we can't "correct" her. She bites and bites and bites. We've tried enforced naps and shes very wary of the crate (shelter dog) but it's very difficult to get her to calm down. We walk her, play with her, and even run around and encourage her to run and play ball, but she still suffers so much with biting and pent-up energy/inability to "be bored" and calm down and just relax and play calmly. Night time is the worst. We are struggling, my husband and I – anyone have ideas?
But what about when he’s constantly biting the house line. Shoes, pants, and shirts are also way more appealing than any toy that we try to replace them with.
I have a dog and I'm trying to train her to walk on one side and said side to side how would I do that and she's 2 years old and how would I get her to come to me when I got her off leash
Hi, thank you so much… seen about half a dozen videos on puppy biting and yours seems the most practical method, Gwyneth is only two months old but I will get her an extra small collar, she has plenty of toys and I think with your leash method I can control her biting.
My dog kind of "grew out" of puppy biting, but that could've been because I ignored his advances a lot of the time or even gave him a gentle but firm smack on his mouth whenever he did try to nip/bite. I've also heard that making them bite their own lips can get them to stop and I used that technique on another puppy which worked.
I used your technique when my dog was a pup with those razor-sharp teeth. It helped but never stopped the behavior. He is 7 months old now, and although he has lost all of his little teeth, he is still very mouthy . He just has to have his mouth around everyones arm or hand. We've tried yiping, holding his mouth closed, redirecting with toys etc. Unfortunately, it seems as though that's how he shows affection. Thankfully, he doesn't do this to our little Grandchildren. Do you have any videos thatvyou would suggest. ( He also does this with other dogs)
Not finding this works with 9 wk Doxie pup. Is it too early to train ? Any other suggestions? I constantly offer tug rope, chewing toys and he keeps coming for my hands. Puppy teeth are like velociraptor!!!
We are using a house line. My problem is he is biting the house line! I've tried using bitter apple on the line to prevent this but he continues. Any help is appreciated! How do I stop this?
Great tips! I’ve been doing this with my new puppy, but my new puppy keeps biting the leash, and will still bite me and rip holes in my shirt and shorts from biting and jumping up. My other two dogs were never this bad for biting. Hoping to enroll her in training soon
My 4 yo greyhound bites at my hands, arms, and even my sons leg during play 😢 the dog loves chomping and chewing during play and i want to encourage him playing, but what do i do if (when, really) he goes from biting the toy to the human parts?
Help, My two month old puppy has so much energy, i Can’t get him to focus on training and he scratches his chollar a lot he doesn’t even walk so i Can’t get to the house leash part
What kind of puppy is this in the video? My daughter brought a puppy home that look just like this one. I'm not the best with knowing different dog breeds.
Advice I always give even for older untrained dogs in the house 💯 The leash is leverage to manage unwanted behavior & to help avoid them getting into trouble before they get to it
Do you find that this can still be helpful with a harness rather than a collar? Shes tiny so im worried about her neck but idk if the harness is equally effective?
I’m so confused all the research I’ve done says not to leave your puppy in it’s crate for more than an hour per month old plus one and not to exceed 10 hours but for the other 12 other hours of the day my puppy is constantly biting so should keep a leash on her for 12 hours a day ??? I don’t think this will work…

Now that you have the right tool, you need the right PLAN! Watch this: https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PL7BBgLulhermMR7P9_70nwIBbWO1JOccW
This would be amazing to try if my parents actually tried it, instead they do the opposite and are kinda reinforcing the nipping.

My puppy thinks the lead is a game, gets frustrating
Tried this over and over and over again and it did NOT work…

When I take my puppy by the collar to stop biting and he fights so bad….i am afraid he may get injured

This is working like a charm for us!

Any advice for a wheelchair user? It would be far too dangerous for me to use a line with me new puppy so any advice welcome
How Long have I watched this?
Yes.
Could this work with a 2 year old labradoodle
What should I do if my puppy keeps bitting the line? He likes to bit on it and thinks I’m trying to play when I give it a tug.

this is so helpful……thank u ❤❤

Doesn't help grabbing his collar..
All of your techniques only aggravate my puppy and make it 10x worse.
What do you do when puppy just goes after the line though?

I've got a tool that stops dog bites too.
I'm used to some mouthiness but my new border collie is a new level when it comes to puppy biting. Her absolute favorite toys are feet and pant legs 😭
How old can you start That ?
THANK YOU
Could someone tell me what breed the dog is?
Can you do it with a harness instead of a collar?

But what if he chews on the leash? Mine has destroyed a line leash already. And a chain will probably be too heavy for him.

This is one of the best dog training channels I’ve found
What treats do you use please?
Brilliant

This method (grabbing the collar) does NOT work with my cattle dog puppy at all. He freaks out and yelps.

My dog is a exact Xerox copy of this puppy

If you don't keep a leash on your dog at home, how can you handle the situation?
I have our first puppy arriving in a month. I've never heard of this line idea before. Will definitely be studying this more!
