I am getting my one year old pup tomorrow. She is 1/2 Cavalier, 1/2 Japanese Chin and 8#. The Breeder encourages me to just let her sleep with me, and use a leash to know she does not jump off the bed. I did get a snuggle puppy. I wonder if letting her sleep with me is wrong, or should I put her in a pen?

Hi there! We get our puppy in a week or so. I am wondering about the play pen and crate inside the playpen. Can we moved the location around? For example we have a huge two story and I would like to keep it downstairs during the day but at night upstairs in our bedroom or even a guest bedroom would be close and helpful. What are your thoughts?

Thank you for all the videos! Question… I'm flying to pick up my puppy from the breeder who is meeting me at the airport. I'll have a couple of hours before we take off for home and can take the puppy out of the crate. But once on the 2.5 hour flight home, the crate must remained closed. Finally, we'll have an hour's drive home. Ideas to make this less stressful and ideas for what to use in the crate (pee pad)? Appreciate any wisdom!

We will be picking our puppy up in 7 weeks. We will have a 4-hour car ride home. I am wondering about the puppy needing a potty break. I have been told they should not be allowed to be out in public grass areas until they are fully vaccinated, so I am at a loss as to how to let the little guy go to the bathroom.

i’m a bit confused and concerned about potty training before puppy has all three vaccinations. We live in the country and our yard is not fenced, so we never know what other dogs or wildlife has wandered through the yard. We pick up our brand new puppy in seven weeks. Potty training our previous dogs we always lived in a house with a fenced yard. I’m not a fan of potty training with puppy pads and you say you’re against them and yet everyone says not to let a brand new puppy into an unfenced yard before all their vaccinations because of the threat of Parvo. I’d love to know how to approach this dilemma.

I heard you say puppy pads are a no? I just got a 6 week old puppy and the lady we got her from said she can’t go outside until she has her shots and she can’t get them til the 28th 3 weeks from now I’ve been told by other people she’d be okay going outside as long as there’s no other dogs don’t know what to do I been watching a few of your videos trying to raise her right as possible

My question is, where do I put my puppy to sleep, sometimes I see videos that say that I should put them on a plastic crate, but some say use those black tall metal crate, which crate should I use for the puppy until they're old enough for the dog bed? Thanks!
