GSD owner here! Here’s a little tip: You don’t want to wash them everyday, since it’ll dry their skin out. I’d suggest brushing them and using doggy wipes for their paws so it gets rid of the stench, as well as sweeping and mopping weekly/daily to get rid of dog dander.
Something you must be very careful to do is remove ALL SOAP from their coat. If you leave any soap in, they will develop a fungal infection, 1-3 weeks later – a so called "hot spot". Nearly ALL hot spots are caused by leaving soap behind.
